We are located 5 minutes from Christchurch Airport and offer a FREE Airport Shuttle service by pre-arrangement (Mon-Fri 7am-9pm, Weekends/Public Holidays 7am-9pm). PLEASE NOTE: SHUTTLE DOES NOT OPERATE ON CHRISTMAS EVE, CHRISTMAS DAY, BOXING DAY, NEW YEARS EVE AND NEW YEARS DAY.

We offer a park and fly service (Off-street car minding) subject to availability. Park n fly available by arrangement charge for this service is $3 per day. PLEASE NOTE: We will not pick up if you are not staying on return.

We are ideally located on Russley Road, which is the main road into Christchurch from the North, West and South. directions making Airways Motel the perfect place to stay. This is also the main route to many ski-fields including Mt Hutt and Porters.

Many attractions nearby include The International Antarctic Centre, Orana Wildlife Park and Willowbank Wildlife Reserve. We are just 1 km from Riccarton Racecourse which also stages the Riccarton Markets every Sunday - a large open air market with numerous craft and food stalls. We are 5 minutes drive to Ruapuna Raceway for motor racing and just a short drive to golf courses at Russley, Clearwater, Templeton, Harewood, Coringa and McLeans Island.

The city bus stop is outside motel. Shopping centers and restaurants are located within a 5-10 minute drive at Avonhead, Hornby, Bush Inn and Riccarton. A 24 hour Caltex Star mart is located 50 meters.

Our complex has 19 modern units consisting of family units, executive suits with spa bath, studio units, interconnecting units and two accessible units. We also have a two bedroom town house with a spa bath and its' own private garden and BBQ.

Great place for big family
We were travelling with 7 adults - adult family members. It was great to have a motel unit that catered for this size group. Welcome and assistance during our short stay couldn't be faulted. Handy to airport and good access to West Coast and South routes.

Absolutely loved staying at the airways motel with our family, the service was fantastic, the staff were very welcoming, warm helpful,and hospitable the rooms were immaculate, facilities were lovely clean and inviting the beds were very cosy, honestly it flt like visiting a favourite aunts home. Highly recommended and i look forward to returning to stay again soon! thankyou again.

Arrived midnight 2 degrees temp. Delightfully surprised to find a lovely cosy warmed room awaiting. Immaculate hygiene & presentation; quality beds, linen, quiet, handy to caltex garage and other local attractions. We returned from west coast and booked a further two nights. The manager, lynne, was courteous and helpful. Loved the close location to airport especially with late evening arrival from brisbane, and early departure when leaving christchurch. .

We did not bother staying at this motel, because when we arrived with documentation of having booked a family unit,we were shown to a small , grubby looking studio room with three beds jammed in, totally unsuitable for three adults. The lady at reception was quite embarrassed, and did ring around to find a suitable alternative for us which was lucky as it was a long weekend. She also offered to contact travelbug for us to advise them of the cancellation being no fault of ours. I would never consider using this motel ever again. .
