The kitchen only had 1 fridge & 1 large table, the other tables were outside...could get busy on a rainy evening!. The room was not particularly inviting but the bed was comfy. Always managed to have a shower without waiting. Got woken by some dickhead banging on a door and talking loudly at about 4am. Not the staffs fault though. Good kitchen and outside area, nice, helpful staff, stayed two nights. Friendly staff, comfortable bed. Well positioned in what's left of christchurch - only a few doors from the beat street cafe, which has excellent food, and only a few blocks from the last word bar in new regent street, which has excellent beverages. We only stayed at around the world backpackers one night, but i'd recommend it, and will happily return. We really enjoyed our stay here and loved the place. Really friendly helpful hosts and a good clean backpackers. Our room was off the main corridoor though so ear plugs were essential for having an uninterrupted sleep. Luckily I had earplugs and an eye mask and slept like a baby. Huge Thumbs Up |
