A little noisy from the road... Couldnt sleep much, great location though.

First time ever i have been so disgusted with the attitudes of motel/hotel owners/managers we had several issues with this place, too many to mention, attitude of owners being the worst, we are a family from nelson, travel heaps within our own country and overseas every year, this is the first time ever i have placed any bad negative feed back on any accommodation in my entire travelling life and i'm a bloke in late forties, travelled heaps, i'm not going to waste too much time here, i would only rate this motel suitable for workers accommodation, based on attitude of owners, condition of our so called family unit at $190 a night, the items that should have been there being advertised as full kitchen, etc i compared to other family rooms, we have stayed in, and this would be the worst serviced mismanaged rude bad attitude motel i/we have ever stayed in, a fact, yes. I would not recommend for any family or couple expecting a high standard for a high price.

Tidy clean unit and had everything we needed. Found being in a downstairs unit quite noisy as the upstairs occupants thumped around and dropped things till late. .

Nice place, easy to find and charming hosts
All service was good and the place was comfortable. It suffered very little in the earthquake and we would certainly be happy to return there.
