We have an established reputation for affordable, clean and comfortable accommodation. We cater to travelling overseas visitors and local families planning a few days away in Akaroa without breaking the bank.

Our aim is to make your stay in Akaroa as pleasant as possible, and being a smaller motel we can spend time on personal service including advice on what to do and see in Akaroa.

An older motel being refurbished by the owner. Advertised sky tv but missing in our unit? units are only serviced after a third night stay, meaning we were left with one tea towel and one dishcloth to be used over our three night stay. A bit unhygienic. Lots of work needed to get the motel up to standard; my door handle kept falling off, and some of the electric hot points failed to work. Bit dusty as well. However staff were very pleasant and it is obvious that the effort is going in to get it up to scratch. Double glazed windows and french doors are an example of new work. We appreciated the larger unit we were allocated as well. Ok price, but would like to see the limited servicing mentioned in advertising.

Easy last minute booking and a return to le rive for us. Pleasant and comfortable accommodation (that's getting a bit tired looking) that was value for money. Will book again.
