Affordable Bed and Breakfast Accommodation - now closed
This family-operated bed and breakfast hotel prided itself on the standard of the accommodation it offers. Unfortunately it is now closed due to earthquake damage.
Built at the turn of the century as a gracious inner-city residence, Windsor Hotel welcomed visitors to Christchurch looking for friendly, personalised service. It was only 5 minutes walk to the city centre, close to restaurants, cafés, and downtown shopping.

Your Comfort Assured
Our well-furnished bedrooms were all individually heated and decorated with a small posy of flowers and a watercolour by local artist Denise McCulloch.
The shared bathroom facilities were conveniently appointed with bathrobes provided, giving warmth and comfort in the bed and breakfast tradition.
Such things as 'hotties' and 'brollies' added charm to the style of accommodation offered, as did our 1928 Studebaker. |

Guest Facilities
Our very reasonable rates included a generous morning breakfast menu with fruit juice, fresh fruits, yoghurt and cereals, followed by bacon and eggs, sausages, tomatoes, toast and marmalade. This was served in our dining room each morning between 6.30am and 9.00am.
Complimentary tea and coffee facilities allowed guests to help themselves at their own convenience and we served "supper" (tea, coffee and biscuits) each evening in the lounge at 9.00pm.
Guest computers were available 24 hours a day with "free" broadband internet and wireless access for your laptop. |

Central City Location
The Windsor Bed & Breakfast Hotel was centrally located on the tourist tram route - within the Cultural Precinct, just a short walk to the Art Gallery, Museum, Arts Centre, Convention Centre, Avon River, Theatres, Casino, cafes and more.
Holidaymakers, families, business travellers, were all welcome at "The Windsor". It offered a taste of old fashioned service and history.
Unfortunately, due to the 2011 Earthquake it is no more. Sorry to see you go!
