New Zealand Cup and Show Week
In an action-packed week, you can don fabulous fashions, get a taste of rural life at the country's Royal A&P Show, have a flutter at the horses or Greyhounds at New Zealand's biggest and most prestigious racing event, dance to live music or see the country's most popular indoor International Rodeo.
At the very heart of the festival is New Zealand Cup week, which includes the New Zealand Galloping and Trotting Cups, Ladies Day, Guineas Day and Show Day race meetings where Addington and Riccarton Racecourses celebrate the finest New Zealand has to offer both on and off the track.

The Royal New Zealand Show
The Royal New Zealand Show attracts the week's biggest crowds and continues to showcase the latest in agribusiness along with perennial favourites from wood-chopping and Ballantyne's Grand Parade to the so-cute City Farmyard and thrilling carnival rides. If you need retail therapy it will be on offer at the hundreds of trade exhibits, as will livestock galore, top Kiwi chefs, demonstrations, competitions, live music and excellent food and wine. |

The International Rodeo
International Rodeo is New Zealand's largest rodeo held indoors at Westpac arena (Christchurch) annually as the grand finale of Cup & Show week. Competitors from Australia, USA, Canada and Brazil will compete with kiwis for the rodeo domination in bareback bronc, saddle bronc and bull riding. With the use of sound & lighting effects, pyrotechnics, explosives, new stunts & special effects, the show promises to be action packed & highly entertaining. |
